I've done all three types of resets, and it will say, "Starting Keysoft," twice, but after the second time, the counter on the right of the display hits 61, then the display goes blank as if the Keysoft version and build number will pop up as usual. But instead, the unit emits a three-note chime and the display stays blank. The display doesn't indicate when I plug the adapter in.
Are these signs that I should get a replacement battery, or has the software been corrupted somehow? I am new to the Apex, and my MPower didn't behave this way. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks very much.
I've never heard of that happening before or experienced it myself when I was using the Apex. It doesn't sounds like a battery problem... so maybe corrupted software? I'm not sure too.
That's Screwmanware for ya.
Give Humanware a call - have you tried the other resets, like pressing it down for 5 seconds? Or pressing dots 4-5-6 or 1-2-3 while holding down the reset button.
